Bryce has been having a lot of problems with his ears since about september. The only reason I even found out about it cause he had a cough for a long time I finally took him in and it turned out he had an ear infection! I had no clue becuase he never complained about his ears hurting. Well since then he has been on antibiotics probably at least once or twice a month because he has fluid in his ears that will not go away. We have been going to the doctor for them to look about once a month and it's still there. Finally this past Wednesday he was seen by an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. He said that it's like he's underwater his ears are so full. So next wednesday he has to have tubes put in his ears. I don't really want this to happen but if it helps him I'm going to have to do it. I was always a little worried about his speech, I thought He wasn't talking as well as other kids his age. He's learning tons of new words all the time but he isn't talking that clearly. Hopefully after this happens that will change.

Potty training

We have recently started back up on potty training. I read some ideas in a book of what you can do to get toddlers motivated to want to use the potty and one of the ideas was giving them money. Bryce like putting coins into his piggy bank so I tried that and it worked! he would sit on the potty each night and get a penny that he could put in his piggy bank. Then he started using it in the morning. Pretty soon he would just sit on it and I don't have to give him a coin anymore. He asks to sit on it. He will take off his pjs or pants and diaper himself and sit down. We read books and do little nursery songs that he will sing with me. So even though he will sit for a pretty good fair amount of time he won't use it. If he has to go he will ask to put his diaper back on and then go to the bathroom. But last night we were singing and reading and went pee in the potty! So he got a quarter to go put in his piggy bank. I'm hoping that will motivate him to use more.

Just a few things, I'm in class so I don't have a whole lotta time. Last week was my spring break for school and Dustin left to go visit his mom during that time. So it was just me and bryce for close to a week and a half. We had a good time together. Most of the time we had to stay home cause of no car but a few times I got to use mom's van. One of the days just Bryce and I went to Lacrosse and spent and 1 1/2 at the children's museum which was a lot of fun, then we went to lunch to Old Country Buffet, where he was so well behaved, and then off to Chuck E. Cheese. Most of our tokens were used on a Barney ride they have there. Bryce would put in a token wait till it was over then grab another token put it in and so on. Also he did that with a Bob the Builder ride and a firetruck truck. The only bad part of that day was the complete meltdown Bryce had when we had to leave there. Other than that we had a great time. Then the next day Bryce, Mimi, and I went to Lark's toys, rode the carousel a couple of times and picked out some taffy. Bryce tried sucking on some for a little bit but I guess didn't care for it to much. Afterwards, we drove to Lake City and had a nice lunch had Burger King.

The weather over here has been gorgeous!! Today it's supposed to get up to 67! Yesterday after I picked Bryce up from daycare we went to the park and played for a while and we're grilling out for dinner tonight and I think I'll take Bryce for a walk.
